# Create and Schedule SEO Blog Posts

Once Holo adds SEO ideas to your calendar, you can turn them into full blog posts, review the content, and schedule them for publishing.

The creation and scheduling flow works directly from the **SEO calendar**, while Chat remains available alongside it if you need help planning or refining your content.

### Review a blog post idea

When an idea is ready, it appears on your calendar as **Needs approval**.

Click the idea to review:

* **Topic**
* **Content type**, such as a how-to guide, FAQ, or listicle
* **Target keyword**
* **Publish date**
* **Why this idea** — an explanation of why Holo selected the topic for your brand

You can adjust the publish date before creating the article.

When you're happy with the idea, click **Create blog post**.

Holo will write the article in the background. While it is being generated, the calendar tile shows **Writing**.

### Review your blog post

Once the article is ready, its status changes to **Needs review**.

Open it to preview the finished article.

From the review screen, you can:

* Edit the article text.
* Change the article image.
* Edit the **meta title**.
* Edit the **meta description**.
* Edit the **URL slug**.
* Adjust the publishing date and time.

Click **Edit text** to update the article content, formatting, links, or images.

Click **Change image** to select another image from your available assets or upload your own.

When everything looks right, click **Approve and schedule**.

### Connect your website

You can create and review SEO articles before connecting a website.

If no publishing destination is connected when you click **Approve and schedule**, Holo will prompt you to connect one.

You can publish through supported options such as:

* WordPress
* Shopify
* Webhook
* Manual download

You can find a step-by-step guide on how to connect your website for SEO publishing [here](/holo-docs/seo/connect-your-website-for-seo-publishing.md).

If WordPress, Shopify, or a webhook is already connected, Holo schedules the article automatically using the date and time you selected.

The calendar tile then changes to **Scheduled**.

### Publish manually

If you publish outside Holo, choose **Manual download** and export the article.

After publishing it on your website, return to Holo, select **Mark as published**, and add the live article URL.

Adding the live URL allows Holo to start measuring the article's performance.

### Manage scheduled articles

Open a scheduled article from the calendar to:

* **Reschedule** it.
* **Cancel schedule**.
* **Publish now**, when supported by the connected publishing method.

### Understanding article statuses

Your calendar shows where each article is in the workflow.

You may see:

* **Creating** — Holo is generating an idea.
* **Needs approval** — the idea is ready to review.
* **Writing** — Holo is creating the full article.
* **Needs review** — the article is ready to review and edit.
* **Scheduled** — the article is approved and scheduled.
* **Published** — the article has been published.
* **Failed** — Holo couldn't complete generation or publishing.
* **Planned** — a future content slot that has not been generated yet.

### Add an existing article to a date

Click **+ Add blog post** on a calendar day to schedule an article that is already ready to publish.

If no articles are available, create one from an SEO idea first.

### Automate your SEO workflow

You can ask Holo in Chat to create recurring tasks for your SEO workflow, for example:

* Create new SEO ideas every Monday for the week ahead.
* Generate blog posts for upcoming ideas.
* Approve and schedule content automatically.

Recurring tasks are available across Holo, not only for SEO. See **Recurring tasks** for details on how to create and manage them.
