# Troubleshoot Meta Connection

If you’re having trouble connecting Meta to Holo for Ads, start by checking the basics below. Then match what you see in Holo or Meta with the relevant section.

### Before you connect

Before starting the connection, make sure:

* You’re logging into **Facebook with an email address**, not using an Instagram-only login.
* Popups are allowed for Holo in your browser.
* Your Facebook account has **admin access to the Meta Business Portfolio and ad account** you want to use.

If any of these are missing, the connection may not complete correctly.

### If the Meta connection doesn’t finish

<details>

<summary><strong>You’re using an Instagram-only login</strong></summary>

Holo needs a Facebook login to connect your Meta Ads account.

If Meta shows **Missing contact info**, add an email address under **Business Settings → People**, then start the connection again and log in with the Facebook account connected to that email.

[Open Meta Business Settings → People](https://business.facebook.com/settings/people)

If you close the Meta popup before finishing, the connection is cancelled and you’ll need to start again.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>No Facebook Pages appear</strong></summary>

Your Meta Business Portfolio needs to have a Facebook Page connected.

Make sure:

* A Facebook Page has been created or added to the Business Portfolio.
* Your Facebook account has admin access to that Page.

Then return to Holo and start the connection again.

[Open Meta Business Settings](https://business.facebook.com/settings/)

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>No ad account appears</strong></summary>

Create or add an ad account in Meta Business Suite first.

Once it’s available, return to Holo, refresh the list, and try connecting again.

[Open Meta Business Settings](https://business.facebook.com/settings/)

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>The Meta popup is blocked or blank</strong></summary>

Make sure your browser allows popups for Holo.

If the Meta window says the connection was refreshed or temporarily lost, continue in the same tab.

If the session has expired, close the window and start **Connect Meta** again from Holo.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>The wrong Page or Instagram account appears</strong></summary>

If Holo is connected to the wrong Page or Instagram account:

1. Go to **More → Integrations**.
2. Disconnect the incorrect integration for this brand.
3. Connect Meta again.
4. Select the correct Facebook Page or Instagram account.

For Instagram, the account must be a **Business or Creator account** and linked to a Facebook Page.

</details>

### Meta is connected, but you still can’t launch ads

Some issues come directly from Meta and cannot be fixed by reconnecting Holo. An admin of the same ad account needs to complete the required step in Meta first.

<details>

<summary><strong>“Complete Meta’s authentication check”</strong></summary>

Open Meta Ads Manager with the correct ad account selected and complete the requested authentication check.

Then return to Holo and try launching the ad again.

[Open Meta Ads Manager](https://adsmanager.facebook.com/adsmanager)

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>“No valid payment method”</strong></summary>

Add a valid payment method to the **same ad account you connected to Holo**.

A card added to another ad account in the same Business Portfolio will not work for this account.

After adding the payment method, return to Holo and check again.

[Open Meta Billing settings](https://business.facebook.com/billing_hub/payment_settings)

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>“Advertiser verification”</strong></summary>

Complete Meta’s advertiser verification from your Business security settings.

Once Meta confirms it, return to Holo and try again.

[Open Meta Business security settings](https://business.facebook.com/settings/security)

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>“Account disabled, restricted, or closed”</strong></summary>

Check the ad account in Meta Account Quality and follow Meta’s instructions to resolve the restriction.

If the account cannot be restored, you can connect a different eligible ad account to Holo.

[Open Meta Account Quality](https://business.facebook.com/accountquality)

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>“Non-discrimination certification”</strong></summary>

Open Meta Ads Manager and complete the required non-discrimination certification.

After completing it, return to Holo and retry the launch.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Pixel is empty</strong></summary>

A Meta Pixel is **optional**.

You can continue without one. If you want to use a Pixel, add it in Meta Events Manager first, then return to Holo and refresh the connection.

</details>

### Still having trouble?

If the issue continues, contact Holo Support and include:

* The exact error message you see.
* The Facebook Page and ad account you’re trying to connect.
* A screenshot of the error, if possible.

This will help the Support team identify whether the issue is with the Holo connection or with a requirement on the Meta side.
