DNA
Brand DNA is the foundation for on-brand content. It’s the place where Holo AI learns who your brand is, what you offer, and how your content should look and sound.
What is DNA
Brand DNA (called DNA in the menu) is the foundation of how Holo creates content for you. It’s the place where Holo AI learns who your brand is, what you offer, and how your content should look and sound.
Holo is built to create brand-aware marketing content. Instead of generating generic ads, it uses your Brand DNA as source material to produce visuals and copy that are consistent, relevant, and on brand.
You can find Brand DNA in the left-side menu by clicking DNA.
Why DNA matters
When you connect a website during onboarding, Holo automatically pulls information from it and stores it in Brand DNA. If you don’t have a website, you can fill everything in manually.
Even if you do have a website, it’s important to review your DNA. Sometimes information may be incomplete, outdated, or interpreted incorrectly. Keeping your DNA clear, accurate, and up to date ensures Holo always creates content that truly reflects your brand.
When Brand DNA is fully filled in, Holo has everything it needs to create on-brand ads, social media posts, emails, and visuals.
Think of Brand DNA as the brain behind everything Holo creates. The more complete and accurate it is, the better and more consistent your results will be.
The three parts of DNA
Brand DNA is made up of three sections: Products, Moodboard, and Context. Each one plays a different role in how Holo understands your brand

Products / Services / Features
The Products section is where you list everything you want Holo to promote.
Depending on your business, products can represent:
Physical products
Services
SaaS features
Each product you add becomes a learning unit for Holo. When you create ads, you can select a specific product, and Holo will use its information and media to generate accurate visuals and copy.
Adding products
To add a product:
Go to DNA → Products (or Services/Features)
Click New product
Add a title, description, and media or use a quick import option.
High-quality, clear images matter a lot because Holo uses them directly when creating ads.
Flexible product setup
Products don’t have to be strict SKUs only. You can use them creatively:
Create products for specific categories
Group items by theme or campaign
Create focused products for one part of your business
Just make sure that every product you want to advertise exists here.
When creating ads, always use the full product name in quotes, so Holo clearly understands what you’re referring to.
Moodboard
Moodboard is the visual layer of your Brand DNA. It shows Holo what your brand should look like.
When you create a moodboard, Holo AI analyzes it and turns it into visual guidance that’s used when generating ads and creatives. This helps keep your brand’s aesthetic consistent across different outputs.
You can:
Create multiple moodboards
Use different moodboards for ads, social posts, or branding
Create campaign-specific moodboards
Turn moodboards on or off at any time
Choose which moodboard to use when creating an ad
Moodboards give you creative flexibility while still keeping everything visually on brand.
Context
Context is the foundation of your brand identity. This is where you define who you are, how you communicate, and where you compete.
A fully filled-in Context section is one of the most effective ways to improve the quality of ads and social media posts created with Holo.
Inside Context, you’ll find three areas:
Who you are
This section covers your brand’s core identity. Here you can:
Add your brand name, website, and social media links
Set your language, fonts, brand colors, and upload your logo
Describe what your brand does and what it stands for
Add your mission, value propositions, and any extra brand guidelines
This gives Holo the essential facts about your brand.
How you speak
This section defines your tone of voice. You can:
Choose how your brand sounds
Add words and phrases to use or avoid
Provide examples of good copy and bad copy
This is especially important if you use Holo for writing ads, emails, social media captions, or copy. When this is filled in, Holo’s writing sounds much more like you.
Where you compete
This section gives Holo market and audience context. You can:
Add competitors and describe their strengths and weaknesses
Define what makes your brand different
Highlight your niche and emerging trends in your market
This helps Holo position your brand correctly instead of producing generic messaging. Once the Context section truly reflects your brand, the difference in generated ads, copy, and visuals is often immediate.
A lot of users use tools like ChatGPT to help fine-tune how they describe their brand, clarify their tone of voice, strengthen value propositions, and better position themselves in their market.
Best practices for Brand DNA
Don’t rush through Brand DNA. Spending a bit more time here saves you a lot of time fixing results later.
Review your DNA regularly, especially if your brand evolves, launches new products, or changes messaging.
The more specific and clear your DNA is, the less generic your generated content will feel.
